Sell, sell, sell!
Today will be my first proper day on my new job. Will I have that instict to sell or will I prove far too passive for such a task? Will the coat adorning my shoulders be that of a closer or the shameful, shamelful garb of the failure? Bah, if I do turn out to be crap I'll still have at least a month before they fire me and there's still teaching or social work to screw up yet!
I purchased myself a new film the other day (even though I still haven't watched my batch gleaned from the sales): Q The Winged Serpent. I remembered this film as something truly astounding from my youth but alas it can no longer be held up as a fine example of a monster film, on the contrary, it can now be hailed a one of the worst, and therefore greatest, film ever! Marvel at how readilly the cast accpets the notion of a giant winged creature attcking New Yorkers! Gasp at how easily a creature which is the size most buildings easily evades detection in a city of millions! Ponder as to what emotion the director wanted us to feel towards Michael Moriarty's character: pity, anger or just plain confusion!? But most of all revel in the glory of the police chief's demand that David Carridine destroy his report on the creature because its easier to beleive a giant feathered lizard is responsible than any ancient demon!!!
One more thing: Quincy eats Grissoms for breakfast and today he's VERY hungry!
