Man, I really aspire to being a film critic/pundit. I want to join the likes of Kim Newman and Mark Kermode and Muriel Gray (?!?! When did she start this gig? Last I saw her was climbing all the Munros in Scotland...). I want to be wheeled out for a soundbite/opinion on whatever film people are talking about. This has come about having just watched Sky One's 10 Greatest Sci-Fi Moments, which is far superior to the lamentable 100 Greatest Scary Moments that Channel 4 filled a schedule with (If only they could decide between moments, characters and films in their entirety it might have been more enjoyable, actually I take that back since Brookside, Corrie and Eastenders all featured in the list.). The list has inspired me to treat myself to a double bill for the remainder of the night: Planet of the Apes and Alien.

Oh and why is Bill Shatner advertising Bran Flakes?!
